We operate around the Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff area in Wales. Including Pontypridd, Pontyclun, Miskin, Cowbridge, Cardiff, Talbot Green, Llantrisant, Treforest and Bridgend.
Do you have a call out charge?
There is no call out charge. Quotes will be given on arrival and assessment of the job.
What are the current rates?
A standard rate for call out is £25 for the first hour (minimum charge) and £7.50 for each half an hour after that. However some time consuming jobs such as Windows installation and system restores will have a set fee of £40 but will require the computer to be taken away by the technician. This is because a proper restore with the latest updates and security patches can take upto 6 hours. Some hardware upgrades will also require the computer to be taken away.
What if my computer can't be fixed?
We offer a 'no fix no fee' policy at Miskin I.T. If we can't fix the problem then we will not charge you. Please bear in mind the no fix no fee only applies if we are allowed to repair the item. If a fault is reported but you do not wish for us to repair the item then a diagnosis fee will be charged.
What are the tuition charges?
Currently tuition is charged at £17.50 per hour but block bookings are considerably cheaper. Please phone for more details.
What lessons do you teach?
There are many different beginner lessons to do with all aspects of computing. These include computer basics, Windows proficency, SEO work on existing websites, networking, programming in a number of languages including Java, C#, Visual Basic and Game Maker GML, 2D and 3D game design, digital music, building your own computers and website design using HTML, PHP, MySQL and CSS.
